About the Course

What does culture really mean? What does it mean to be human? This course exposes students to very introductory concepts of the domains of culture (e.g., kinship, social organization, language, belief systems, etc.) and through the lens of the four-fields of anthropology (linguistics, physical, archaeology, socio-cultural anthropology). It involves: remote hands-on exercises, readings from textbook, hand-outs, articles, slides, quizzes, and a final writing project.
